So is Nothing the scrubbed slab to the right of Hitchhiker here in Shawn Johnson's photo?

Looking cool as a cucumber on the first crux pitch.

[Hide Comment] Incredible route. The 5.11 pitches would be 4 or 5 star classics at any crag: bulletproof, clean, improbable-looking rock that climbs like slab, crack, and dihedral all at the same time. Also a huge thanks to Leland for bolting this for the timid slab climber - any moves harder than 5.9 have very tightly spaced bolts and you can easily pull through cruxes.

More beta:

The 5.4 "no pro" pitch is an easy scramble up ledges - bring a hand-sized piece if you want. Also, pitches 6, 7, and 8 link with one 60m rope very nicely if you manage drag. Pitches 11 and 12 also link well.

All stations are set up to rap with chains, except the top-out anchor (which does have bolts).

Go get on it! Hiking up there with just a rack of draws is delightful! Jul 8, 2024
