Temporary Closure for Nesting Raptors

Due to the presence of nesting raptors, the following rock climbing areas are temporarily closed: Slatanic Area, Rattlesnake Buttress, Margaret Thatcher Spire, The Stepping Stones, The Bulkhead, The Dunce Cap, and Commissioner’s Buttress.

The Joshua Tree National Park Superintendent's Compendium states that:
1. Vegetation is not allowed to be used as an anchor.
2. Only neutral or rock colored bolt hangers are allowed.

Description
The route starts with a blank section to reach a seam. Once above the seam, it opens into a crack. Follow splitter hands through bulges to the top of the formation.
It is hard to protect the start and there is a gap you can fall into. On the FA I protected off to the left to keep me from falling down the gap, however you'll hit the ground instead. Better to stick the opening moves.
