The Joshua Tree National Park Superintendent's Compendium states that:
1. Vegetation is not allowed to be used as an anchor.
2. Only neutral or rock colored bolt hangers are allowed.

Description

Start at the first obvious crack that is about eight feet down and right of the cave. Climb past a steep section of the crack to easier ground and the top. A large boulder can be wrapped for an anchor.
