Description Suggest change

Less popular than its neighbors to the left, Buck Eye climbs the right side of the Madness Cave and features a hard boulder problem followed by classic endurance climbing.

Climb moderate terrain to the first break before the steep cave. Jump immediately into a hard boulder problem on crimps and poor feet (involving one unfortunate wet hold). Continuous edges lead to the next break in the wall at a large flake feature. Rest up before taking on the final resistance climbing to the chains.

Originally graded 13b, the consensus on 8a.nu is 13c.

Location Suggest change

The next line right of Forty Ounces of Justice, this route starts on a flat shelf about 6 feet off of the ground. As of March 2023, it is the rightmost open route in the Madness Cave. There is a closed project to the right of it.

Protection Suggest change

Many bolts to bolted anchor. As of March 2023, there were aluminum / nylon quickdraws on all but the first 3 bolts.
