Description Suggest change

This is a variation to the Osage Party Barge. It's a bit contrived but a TON of fun for anyone willing to bring a rack to Monegaw. After leaving the anchors on pitch five of OPB, look up and left towards the anchors of Grandfather Sky. Six feet before the anchors is a bolt. This is your destination.

Use cams to protect the features leading you upward away from OPB. Beneath your feet are the anchors of Cortez. At the lone bolt, either reach to the lip of the wall off of crimps, or step hard left to the Grandfather Sky anchors. Either stop here to belay your second or keep going into the fantastic horizontal rail crack.

The crack takes cams practically anywhere, as you step carefully through small knobs. The position is easily one of the more exciting at the crag and is easy to hangdog or aid if desired. Your goal is to arrive at the Grand Finale anchors (but yes you can go further). DO NOT RUN THIS OUT- the roof beneath you has a sharp edge that can sever your rope.

From here you can belay your second, then top-out or lower off.

Start from the fifth pitch anchors of Osage Party Barge. Follow angling upwards to anchors of Grand Finale. One option is to start on a route on the far left of the Undercut area to get into the traverse quicker.
