Description Suggest change

This is another climb at Rose that does not see much traffic - probably because the approach is a bit of a bushwhack, or that if you’re planning on TR’ing  all day, then you might as well stick to the main wall. Nonetheless, if you decide to venture this far or are itching to get on something new, then welcome!

April Flurries is a wonderful slab climb tucked away in the upper tier, and I believe if it gets cleaned a bit more, then it would unearth a three star climb. Start your way at the prominent, crescent rail, and make some balancy moves to your first horizontal crack (thin crack). Make a quick move, reach for some okay crimps, and move out left onto a small ledge (rest). If you’re feeling good, from the ledge, move out right, and work your way up good horizontal cracks and crimps on a steepish wall until you see a sloping, right bulge (crux). Step out right on thin foot holds, reach out right for this sloper, and hope it’s dry. If you stick this, then there are some okay holds just past the crux. Breathe because now you have a good rest stemming and easy climbing towards the top!

Location Suggest change

Walk up the stairs from the main wall, and follow a faint path northwest towards a wall. You’ll pass Summer Stroll first, and then just to the right is April Flurries.

Protection Suggest change

Cams #0.2 C4 - maybe a size #1 C4. Black and Pink tri-cams would be good, too.
