Elanor

Pitch 1:  Start up the thin crack next to a rounded arete(5.7+), move right under a roof, continue up cracks, climb past a cool dyke in a corner, then climb a to a short bulge.  Negotiate this bulge a number of ways and finish on a nice sloping ledge with a bolt, piton and small gear for the anchor. 190’

Pitch 2: Climb up and right to the first bolt, move over a shallow roof. Below and to the right is a nice spot for a #1 camelot. Move left underneath the vertical triple cracks and back right onto awesome knobs on an arete protected by a bolt(climbing the triple cracks variation and then moving left around the arete to the bolt is likely 5.9) Move past the roof, transfer two cracks to the right, and continue to a right facing flake. Find the final bolt on the face and climb through glorious golden knobs to Meneltarma Ledge (5.7).  Best gear anchor on the top of the short wall at the back of the ledge: .5”-2”  190’

5th class romping to the summit, then choose between a few "step/jump across the chasm" options to descend west back around to "Lake of the Domes".

Master Samwise named his daughter Elanor after a simple beatiiful flower of Lothlorien. For me, the passage of Sam discussing it in "Return of the King" depicts how some of the most beautiful elements in life aren't grand or shiny, but rather simple and earthly. As stated elsewhere “All that is gold does not glitter.”

Elanor as an idea complements the routes Galadriel and Lothlorien close by.  For a fun day try linking Valinor, Andor, and Elanor for a Tuolumne Tolkien Triple!

On the FA the first crack was aided, gardening like the Gaffer, as I went.  Later I rapped in and placed two bolts on the second pitch, to make the fall potential less dangerous, which made the second ascent a lot more type one fun!

Start to the the left a huge roof, which is to the left of Galadriel(and The Cony). Venture up third class ramps, pass between two flat broad white park pines, to a clean thin crack.
