Description Suggest change

Deep Roots is a gem of a pitch, following an increasingly vertical crack system up immaculate Middle Fork granite.

Begin by following the right leaning corner from the belay platform up and around a bulge. Transfer left into the second crack system and layback/jam up to the second and wonderfully fun crack switch. Climb through the crux flare to a small pedestal. A few final moves will bring you to a rightward hand traverse to a slanted ledge with a bolted anchor.

Location Suggest change

After crossing the suspension bridge, turn left and walk on the Middle Fork Trail for 0.9 miles, passing by Fee Demo Wall on your right. Turn right onto a climbers trail which soon crosses over a bog via a large downed tree and continues up past a house-sized boulder. Keep ascending the trail, passing through an enchanted moss boulder field which will eventually lead you to the base of the Stegosaurus Butte-y corner system. Turn left, passing a cairn and continue up a climbers trail to the base of the route and a belay ledge cut into the slope. Approximate approach time is 30 min.

Protection Suggest change
