Description

Using the description from Wiessner’s Rib I found a right facing ramp/corner, I confused it as the rib then made my way to the top on a route about 200’ left of the classic Wiessner Rib.

To find Lyles Rib: there is a shortcut trail to the main gravel trail that merges with another shortcut trail BEFORE the main trail, the upper feature I confused for a rib is identifiable from the trail, from here fire up the scree field. If you would like to get to Wiessner’s Rib continue 100ft further up the trail where the main trails merge.

Location

Start at dirty/lichen ramp to a 4” crack and a little vegetation, arch to the left following natural fracture to an overhanging feature and make belay for second pitch, either hanging or down climb to a ledge. Head straight up to a ledge staying right of tree then climb the stacked boulders at the top
