Access Issue: Climbing permits are required for all group and individual climbers at Interstate State Park. Permits are free, and must be renewed each year. Details

Description

A splitter-crack in a left-facing corner on the north side of Angle Rock. Needs some cleaning and it's currently a bit of a bushwack at the top but cleaned up it will be a really nice climb.

This is Route # 8 from the black and white picture in the area descrpition. Clearly visible from Rod's Area on WI side. Bottom accessable when the water is low.

Location

When the river is high, rappel in from the top.

When the river is low, use the access gully from the Boonyards bouldering area 30 ft climbers right of the crack, OR 3rd class scamble from a big pine tree near the path area 15 ft climbers right of the Boonyards area gully access.

Protection

It's a deep splitter with good rock quality, need I say more? Camalot size #3 - #5, optional #6.
