Description

This power endurance gem is one of the finest lines in the Indian Peaks and offers a bit of everything from slopers, crisp edges, and toehooks.

Begin from a sit start as for Rogue Wave. A few moves on perfect crimps lead to a positive bucket. Continue surfing under the wave crest via slopers, pinches, heel hooks, and tension until a final hard move grabbing the lip of the boulder. Roll over, and claim victory.

Don’t let the very positive holds littered throughout the climb lead you into thinking this pumpy beast will go down without a fight.

Location

It is located on the central overhang of the talusfield’s main attraction, the Pilot Wave. Basically this is an obvious, pure, left-to-right traverse of the boulder starting low on a slopey shelf and following the weakness of holds under the wave until reaching the far right lip.

Protection

Several pads and a spotter.
