Description

This is the slab extension of Tepid Hummus according to Jason Nelson's guidebook. It is stout for the grade, and there is a slight runout on lower half when you climb right onto ledge before the seam with 3 pods. You do not want to take a fall here - you might pendulum or hit your ankles on the pitch below.

This slab is amazing. It is very technical, and getting through the pods/seam requires thoughtful climbing.

(In this climber's opinion..., this route will feel more difficult than a 9. Several climbers with me easily climbed the 10s to the right of this route, pleasing masses and US Hwy 550, and we all fell on this route several times. FYI!, but do not let this this discourage...just know going into route that it will be an amazing route despite of 5.9 grade!

Location

It is on the right side of slabby wall and is an extension of Tepid Hummus (5.6).

Protection

P1: 3 bolts to 2 bolt anchor with rap rings.

P2: 5 bolts to 2 bolt anchor with mussy hooks.
