Baby Bigly

5.5, TR, 25 ft (8 m),  Avg: 2 from 1 vote
FA: July 2022
Connecticut > Western Coastal… > Bishop Estate/D… > Area 1

Description

Decent 25 ft trap rock wall with at least 3 routes: right, middle, and left. Very little vegetation on rock face, and only one loose flake toward the top left. Easiest climb is at right edge using arête, middle is a bit harder but has decent holds. Left route crux (if you can call it that) is on the lower half, once you get past that its easy to top out. Easy top access for top rope anchor construction. Two large trees (3-4 ft diameter) are set back 40-50 ft from edge, so you will need at least 50 if not 100 ft of static rope. Recommend rope protector across edge as rocks are sharp.

Location

GPS: 41.37108, -72.97197

Protection

TR easy to setup: walk up to right of rock face, anchor to two large trees set back 40-50 ft. You will need 100 ft of static rope for double anchors.
