Description

It starts with a reach right & up to positive, flat jug in the wide crack then left into a layback at the start. Tip: it is a good idea to clip the first bolt from below before becoming totally engaged. This leads into a crack with good hands combined with alternating face holds. Then climb up some fun face moves that can seem a bit cryptic initially (look around for not so obvious holds). The movement through the last two bolts to the anchor clip define the crux - a sweet finish!

It happened to be shady & cold on the morning we arrived in April to finish the route. Our psych was somewhat tempered by the thought of a redpoint with chilly fingers, but, alas, the sun appeared from the cliff edge and we sent... hence the name.

Location

This route is located 15' right of Mongrels. Alternatively, it is approximately 30 yards up canyon from Blackball Retriever.
