Description

This is a nice two pitch route. Great for someone that doesn't have much multi-pitch experience. It goes to the top of the formation, and the summit has great views and is a cool spot to hang. The mid belay ledge can accommodate 2-3 people.

The first pitch is 5.9 and has 7 bolts. You will need to place a piece or two between the first and second bolt. A BD #2 will work nicely or a couple of finger sized pieces. This is easy gear to place. The rest of the route is bolted. The crux is up high when you move right to big holds. These moves are well protected by a bolt. The belay is 2 bolts with chains.

The second pitch is 5.8. It has 10 bolts and needs no other gear. This pitch starts moving left off of the belay ledge and will take you to the top of the formation and a two bolt and chain anchor.

This route can be done in one long pitch without much for drag issues.

To descend, you can get down with two ropes in one long rappel, or do two rappels with one rope.

Location

When at the Green Goat Grotto, this route starts at the back right corner on the right wall. Look for the first bolt. You may also be able to see the chain anchors at the ledge.

Protection

All bolts except a piece or two between the first and second bolt.
