Description Suggest change

Great exposure plus a clean, well protected thin hand crack makes this a great way to gain the actual summit of Sentinel Rock.  The crux is probably finding the start of the climb since the crack is not at all visible until you are less than 5' away from it.

Location Suggest change

Follow the approach as if going to the Hall of Truth.  Once you walk down the short steep section from the old road bed, you will pass a faint trail and gulley that descends to Lost Arrow Spire.  Proceed on the Hall of Truth trail for another 50 yards then make a left hand turn heading almost straight west.  Stay on the left uphill side of the drainage and contour through some minor downfallen timber for 150 yards until you see Sentinel Rock with the vertical arete of Nothing But Fun on the left skyline.  Your target now is the largest tree on the right skyline.  Scramble to this tree to belay then traverse right around the corner to the start of the hand crack.  Total time from the car to the start of the scrambling is only 5-6 minutes.

Protection Suggest change

0.4 - 2 Camalots. Finger to hand sized nuts would also work.
