This encounter was a little disappointing and not my finest hour. I thought the line would surely go free so I punched in 3 bolts from the ground only to discover that I couldn’t get up without aid. Upon leading it I discovered an old anchor on the slab above my bolts.  Apparently I was not the first person to have been attracted to this face but fail to rise to the occasion to free it.  It’s a fun way to get to the top of Limp Dick Pillar, regardless.  Also, I might add that, this climb lends itself to photos that look much grander than the actual experience.  It should not surprise you if your partner is a little frustrated and unsatisfied after this route.
