Description Suggest change

This problem makes the most of the Friendship Boulder with a traverse from right to left. It's a fun line with a funky crux halfway through. It is recommended if you're marooned in the area or you live close by.

I am not sure of the grade - I just didn't want to sandbag anyone. Change the grade to whatever you like.

Be super respectful of the kids and staff around here, be respectful of the land, and be respectful of the boulders. Every now and then, the kids will build forts on the boulders, which is adorable, and of course they have the right of way. The YMCA is very courteous to allow boulderers.

Location Suggest change

Start on obvious sit on the right hand side (I used a single left hand, sharp hold, with a big rail for your feet, and crossed my right hand to a positive, diagonal, sloping sidepull). This sit was on the very right hand end just before the boulder turns the corner.

I stayed low (apart from a crimp halfway up the face at the crux), but I'm sure there are lots of ways to do this.

It's possible to climb farther to the left into truly lowball, scrunchy territory, but the huge jug flakes on the left side of this boulder are extremely pleasant and a logical (for me) place to top out.

Protection Suggest change

A pad or two is nice to have to avoid getting dirty, but it's low injury potential on this thing.
