Description Suggest change

"It's going to be a great day, Gilbert!" This excellent and well-protected route was the first line spotted that inspired the development of The OG. Start by working up the right edge of the flake at the base of the black water chute.  A BD #2 Camalot and/or 0.5 protects the flake well. Once the top of the flake is reached, place a bomber large stopper or #1 Camalot in the back of the water chute and make the step across to the face on the left.  Clip the first bolt and climb the fun crystalline face to summit staying to the left of the water chute.

Don't let the trad portion of this route disuade you.  The trad section is around 5.5-5.6 in difficulty.

Location Suggest change

This route is the 4th route from the left on the left end of the southern face. The upper part of the route lies between a chimney (left) and water chute (right).  Look for the 25' tall flake at the base of the route to the right of the water chute.  The first bolt is high off the ground and can be difficult to spot.

Protection Suggest change

0.5 to #3 C4 cams, large sized stoppers. 6 bolts on the upper face. Double bolt Euro style top anchor.
