Description Suggest change

First pitch is okay at the grade, but may be more technical movement and more challenging gear than a beginning 5.3 leader would expect.

Second pitch is a bad idea unless you are solid at the grade. A runout section, loose blocks, etc.

A fun alpine-feeling adventure with packs on to get to the trail and hike out at the end of the day.

Good stemming up to the King of P belay tree (P1). P2 is pretty run-out at the beginning as it crosses a 5.1 slab with no protection (for 20 feet or so?). Falls here would be bad.

After this, head up the steep headwall (5.6?) or stay in the corner for more 5.3. Loose blocks abound. Be sure to get some gear before the pine-needle covered top-out. After topping out, another short slippery slab awaits. Belay on trees.

Location Suggest change

Right facing corner with a finger/hand crack, to the right of King of P.

Protection Suggest change

Standard gunks rack. No gear on the P2 slab. Loose blocks everywhere. Fixed anchors at the top of both pitches.
