Description Suggest change

P1. Do the first pitch of “Fire on the Horizon”, 5.10.

P2. Start this long pitch by clipping the first 4 bolts on the second pitch of F.O.H., (runners might be helpful) before moving right onto the steep face. Sustained edging and thin face climbing will bring you to the “Hubbel Bivy” ledge, 11-. Classic!

Enjoy the views and rap down (2x) the gully to the left.

Thanks to Darren Mabe for pointing this line out to me when we were establishing Anasazi Arete in 2018. Peter and him referred to the feature by its now name. Also, Peter did some exploration on the headwall above the ledge, but judging by bail gear and bolts to nowhere, the rock quality and lack of holds won.

There used to be an old fixed line leading from his old bolts on the ledge to the now dead tree, going down the gully, which has been removed. If you look around, you can still find a piece of it melted in the bushes.

This side of the wall offers some nice two pitch climbs for a low commitment day on Sheeprock.
