FA: TR: J. Matzko (1997)
Washington > Northwest Region > San Juan, Fidal… > Mt Erie > (c) Orange Area > (c) Orange Wall

Description

New bolt line on blank-looking face left of Gator. First part mixes balancy moves to jugs and a hand traverse. Upper part rolls over into a series of slabby sections with nice exposure.

Location

Left edge of main Orange Wall, starting at rock slot on the trail and following the shiny bolts. Stem off the block or add some tougher moves by starting off the ground. Quite a bit longer than older routes to the right

Protection

9 bolts, chain anchor.

[Hide Comment] Hi curt, this might be orange crush. That said I have only found the description for that route in rakkup, and there was no route map. The start is described as left of gator from the trail off a rock just before the step. Apr 24, 2022

[Hide Comment] It feels about a letter grade easier than Gator, though is less obvious. 5.9 beta: climb right of the first four bolts, then work back left with hands on the ramp before doing the mantle. Sep 18, 2022

[Hide Comment] For the area, this route is fantastic. Recommended pitch. Can’t believe I hadn’t climbed it in the past. Feb 7, 2024
