Description

This route follows a broken crack system up to a large ledge and then pulls through a fairly strenuous overhang (crux). It continues up a steep, burly layback to the top. Beware: The rock in this section of the cliff tends to be fragile, so be extra cautious and be sure your belayer wears a helmet.

Location

The climb starts 20 feet or so to the right of True Grits, on the lower left side of a prominent alcove in the cliff face.

Protection

11 bolts and a bolted anchor

[Hide Comment] Take care exiting the ledge halfway up. You've got to pull on some dubious stuff before you can clip the next bolt. I used a cam to help protect this move but wasn't thrilled with the placement. Mar 6, 2022

[Hide Comment] Duly noted, Matt. We already hammered off a number of weak holds in that area, but I'll give it another look this week to see what else we can do. Mar 7, 2022

[Hide Comment] We've added an extra bolt to the crux above the big ledge. The three bolts in that area are now just 3 feet or so apart from each other. Oct 30, 2022
