Description

Before Boulders Climbing Gym-East, there was THE BARN. Privately owned but open to friends. I feel privileged to have been part of the crew. Plywood panels and plastic holds. Several 25-ft walls some very overhanging. A fantastic woody bouldering wall with several old mattresses under it and about 600 holds. Each hold had a name and sequences were documented in sharpie on the side walls. "Fully-Ninny-Spike-Icarus-Caesar" or something like that.

Location

SW of Madison towards Verona, just south of Hwy 18, around McKee Rd or Fitchrona Rd. Probably where there is now a subdivision or office park. Couldn't find it on Google Earth.
