Access Issue: Phoenix South Mountain Park & Preserve Details

Description

Another suggested route name was “Why on God’s Green Earth???” but I like to think that if you harness the power of the Rainbow Sandals then you will float right up this thing like there’s a magic carpet beneath you. Worth it? Probably not. Crux is doing the classic South Mountain top out.

Location

A few steps left from the sandy wash center. Look for the overhung incipient micro crack with jugs on both sides. Maybe best identified by the irregular boulders that lie below.

Protection

Pads, etc. Rainbow Sandals. A TR can be built by using gear far behind.
