Description
The line starts with a few easy moves under a talus bridge to a flared chimney. The chimney is dead vertical but the ice runnel is usually only a few inches wide and generally hollow behind and typically is brittle. Take a rest before hitting the overhanging section with good gear (screws and rock). Continue up to a curtain and belay from large evergreen.
The name seemed appropriate on Christmas, but it’s also a tip of the hat to an old friend.
