Description Suggest change

A stellar long pitch of ice in a high & lonely sandstone corner of the eastern Uintas. For more climbing, the route can be broken into two pitches as rolling WI2 steps continue above the main show. A great backcountry line, HL towers above the North Fork of the Duchesne River on the west facing ridge and east side of the Mill Flat trail. Cowboy up for a two mile approach followed by 2000' feet of sustained steep hiking for incredible views and position in an awesome setting. Great training & conditioning for Canada, Cody etc.

Location Suggest change

High above the North Fork of the Duchesne River on an eastern (west facing) ridge. Approximately two miles up Mill Flat trail cut right on to a faint ridge between two talus fields then ascend a steep 2000' to base of climb. Climb can be seen hiking in but one has to look up through the trees to the top of the ridgeline after passing the Slate Creek drainage.

Protection Suggest change

Standard rack of screws, stubbies and a pin or two can be useful in lean conditions.
