Martian Landscape
“We come from the land where the wheat is still wheat, and the water in the river is still water…” (Album; UFO, No Heavy Petting, 1976)
Looking at the unique red rock and featured holds on this climb it wasn’t too hard for me to imagine how Earth may soon become like a Martian Landscape ! (IF we humans cannot repair the damage we’ve done in such a relatively short period.) My experience of traveling around this small little planet of ours has convinced me that we humans have really trashed the place. No other species has created the amount of waste (or any!) we have contributed, and continue to produce annually (plastic anyone?) After spending multiple days cleaning and bolting a 1 pitch sport route, one can be permitted to make lofty observations, right ?
Fun Moves on Ok holds get you to a rest stance near the second bolt. Thin wandering face climbing above (crux) before encountering a moderate long section and a gradually steepening headwall. Climb carefully to a clip stance beneath a small roof-like feature (high clip, last bolt) finish just right of the prominent crack system (Just Bearly) I believe any pro used in the wide crack out left is marginal at best.
