Access Issue: Neighborhood Proximity!
Details
Though the boulder itself is on public land, it is within a few hundred yards of a nice, quiet neighborhood with active residents. Please do not give us boulderers a bad rep by blasting music, yelling spray, raging, or being an overall clown. Since the parking is discreet and just outside the neighborhood, taking part in annoying/disruptive activities is a great way to develop access issues. With that said, I’ve kept a low profile as I’ve established these problems and had no unwanted attention, only the occasional resident watching in interest.
Description
Monarch is a nice warm-up for the area with a few different ways to do it.
Start standing just right of Dodge in Hell on underclings (your left hand in the pocket undercling and your right hand just next to it). Make a move around the arete, then use crimps and knobs to mantel over, and finish up the slab. This has fun moves!
Location
On the right arete of the main face, one problem right of Dodge in Hell, begin on underclings, and turn the corner.
