Thumb Butte is closed for half of the year for peregrine falcon nesting. Closure is from February to July each year.
Description
Great route, can be accessed via several different routes on the lower headwall perhaps in a first pitch. Go up white crack and headwall. There is a pod up high (important for protection) which takes big gear (perhaps 4/5). Face above crack can be protected w tricky pro. steep and committing
