Description Suggest change

This route offers varied climbing and is well protected. If there's already a crowd climbing Amazing Face, don't hesitate to give Toast a try - it makes another excellent option for the 5.10 leader.

Slopers make up a majority of the holds, along with several delightful pockets. Mantles and high-steps are occasionally required for upward progress. Some of the sequences may seem confounding until you work out the right beta.

NB: It is possible to traverse right and lower off of the Gruntle anchors, thus avoiding the crux headwall. If you do this, please be courteous to climbers on Gruntle (since, after all, you're the one who is off route in this scenario!).

Location Suggest change

The right-side face of the Lower Tier hosts three sport climbs. Toast is in the middle. It shares a finish with BLM after three bolts of independent climbing.

Protection Suggest change

Eight glue-in bolts (2020) to clip as you climb. Three glue-ins equipped with chains and mussies for lowering.
