This ~50 foot climb offers an interesting and safely bolted start leading up to a nice challenge in the middle for those who want to test their slab skills.
The route name comes from Melissa’s favorite animated show “Avatar: the Last Airbender,” where a main character is given the nickname Twinkle Toes for his ability to bend air and be light on his feet.
On the extreme right end of Dines/Lower East Side, this route is the last climb before you enter the Classroom crag and find yourself going slightly downhill into a new cliff with more tree coverage.
This sport route was designed on the land of the Ute and Cheyenne people. For this route, funds were sent to the Ute Land Trust.
The Ute Land Trust (ULT) was established in 2018 to assist in the healing of the deep wounds left by the injustice of the violent removal of the Ute Indian Tribe from ancestral lands in so-called Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, and Arizona. ULT’s mission is to reconnect the people of these lands by engaging with other tribes, federal, state, and local governments to partner in land stewardship and traditional conservation efforts.
