Yosemite National Park has yearly closures for Peregrine Falcon Protection March 1- July 15. Always check the NPS website at nps.gov/yose/planyourvisit/… for the most current details and park alerts, and to learn more about the peregrine falcon, and how closures help it survive. This page also shares closures and warnings due to current fires, smoke, etc.
Description
High quality route for the modern hard aid adventurer. Soars through what I would call the coolest part of El Cap.
1100 feet of independent terrain. Shared pitches are mainly from Space, Pacific Ocean Wall, and Tempest.
Climbs steep and sustained features on golden rock. Pull onto the headwall on the 3rd pitch and keep going until you summit.
This stellar route certainly deserves more ascents.
Most holes filled with solid 3/8 stainless.
Protection
Atleast a dozen of each size beak
Doubles cams small to #2, including offsets, Singles #3 to #5
All the hooks
10 heads or so
A couple arrows, why not
10ish rivet hangers
Bolt kit, feel free to change any drilled hook to a bolt if so inclined, particularly on pitch 19. All drilled hooks were done with a 3/8 bit to make them easy to find and more sustainable. As such, please use 3/8 hardware if upgrading drilled placements to bolts.
