Description
A fun, short corner that offers something different and moderate to do at Kinsman. Clip the fixed knife blade from a stance atop the flake in the corner. Great pick torques and delicate feet for the first few moves to gain the now wider crack which will take small cams. Follow the crack to the frozen turf above and belay at a fixed anchor. This anchor and the one on the starting ledge can also serve as an alternate rappel line for the ‘The Beast’ on those busy, crowded weekends.
Location
Climb The Beast to just through the crux curtain then step down and right to the tree ledge. Or climb the independent, steeper yellow pillar just right of The Beast and be deposited on the ledge right below the corner. Scramble up a move past a small birch tree into an alcove with the teetering flake (solid) in the corner.
