Description Suggest change

When I first posted this route, I thought it was Foul Line, which is described in Gillett’s 2009 guidebook. After climbing routes on the right side of the Ticket Booth on 2/18/23, I have decided that this route isn’t in said guidebook, and Gillett’s Foul Line starts down and right from this route, at the lowest point of the Ticket Booth outcrop.

From a squarish platform, climb straight up an unprotected trough, or protectable, left-facing dihedral past occasional loose blocks. At 70 feet, a shiny two-bolt anchor lies to the left. You could belay there or continue up, passing a single bolt that has two attached links (at about 85 feet). This single bolt is marked on Gillett’s photo/route diagram. Above it and a bit left, follow an incipient crack that widens and eventually becomes a short chimney. Continue up and right to a shiny two-bolt anchor at 145 feet. Said crack and chimney system defines the left edge of the bulgy slab climbed by the Unknown Mixed Route.

Another trad pitch climbs the crack system that is just left of this anchor, reaching an older two-bolt anchor in almost 100 feet. This older anchor is at the top of the routes Foul Line and Step Right Up, as described by Gillett. This older anchor is on Gillett’s route diagram.
