V5, Boulder, 9 ft (3 m),  Avg: 2.8 from 4 votes
FA: Wes P the crimpdaddy DK pantsless from a squat
Massachusetts > Eastern, MA > Milford Bouldering > Hillside > Back Hillside > Vernal Pool Boulders

Description

Sit start the right-leaning arete. Originally done as a squat but do the sit for sill value

Don’t take the wrong gully on the approach and try to cut over. You may end up, waist deep in a mud puddle.

Location

It is on the same boulder as Key to the Attic ascending the only right-leaning, slightly overhung, sloper arete.

Protection

A few pads.

[Hide Comment] Good problem for those who like slopey aretes. To get there, find Red Sea, and head away towards Nightcrawler. Continue away from Red Sea with Nightcrawler at your back. You will be walking in a sort of gully feature formed by the rock slabs on your right and the small rise on your left. In about 100 yards, you'll hit a slab and a pond/swampy spot below the slab, continue past it to the boulder, about 100 feet past the pond thing. In total, it is not far from Nightcrawler.
