Description

Start up p2 of Japanese Gardens and step right out onto the face. Engaging moves lead you up a steep flared hands and finger crack. Layback, jam, compress and dance your feet up this classic pitch. Stop at the chains on the ledge or continue to the base of p3 of Japanese Gardens (another 50’ or so).

Location

Climb Japanese Gardens p1 (full). Trout Farm is the steep face directly above the chains.

Protection

Green c3 - .75 BD size cams (doubles from .2 - .5) + small nuts. Bring a more comprehensive rack to BD #2 if continuing to the base of JG p3.

[Hide Comment] Linking with JG pitch 1 yields a stellar 50m pitch (no resting at jg p1 anchors!). I'd call the pitch .11d when linked and offer the name "Trout Gardens?" Or up the ante and do the "Trout Farmer!"

Place a piece to the climbers left of the JG chains to keep rope out of the crack. Mar 6, 2021
