Description

The steep, narrow couloir to the right of Randy Stoltmann Buttress and left of the Octopus Beak tower. Approach as for the RSB routes then climb the steep, aesthetic, narrow couloir to the summit rim. Jason carried on to the summit of Athelstan via the west ridge.

Location

From the base of Selective Cut, move right and enter the couloir proper. An early season route, probably all dirt in late August.

Protection

Steep snow and/or neve. No ice.
