One Trick Sheep

5.11b, Sport, 60 ft (18 m),  Avg: 2.3 from 21 votes
FA: Rick Thompson
Wyoming > Lander Area > Wild Iris > Zorro Area

Description

Obvious crux is getting off the ground, down low the wall is quite blank and options are limited.  While the first move or two are the hardest, it's not over immediately.  The start is difficult and could be frustrating, but after that it's good climbing that eases off in difficulty as you go higher.  Shorter climbers may have some issues, and you'll probably want to stick clip the first bolt regardless.

Location

Where the trail meets the Zorro wall, go up and right 10 feet or so, it's the rightmost route in the Zorro area.  There is a large flake at the bottom that can be used (sort of) to help get started.

Protection

7 bolts to 2 bolt anchor

[Hide Comment] Really fun route! The intro boulder felt hard for the fat-fingered. Jul 3, 2021

[Hide Comment] Really well bolted as long as you stick clip the first. Probably 5.8 after bolt two. Aug 17, 2023
