Description

Spectator Sport ascends progressively more difficult slab. Stay on the bolt line for hard slab climbing at the top, or bail out left.

Location

It is the first bolted route right of the man chimney/crack cleaving the east side wall left of The Comp. 

Protection

10 bolts and a two bolt anchor.

[Hide Comment] The guidebook calls this 10b, and hecks no! It's an awkward, slippery move over the first bolt, on top of lichen. It's an awkward move left to the arete, swamped in lichen. It's way more than 11a to try to stay straight. There are so many better climbs in this area. Aug 17, 2020

[Hide Comment] Thanks, Hansen - it looks like different guidebooks give this different ratings, but we agree that it's much harder than 11a to stay straight on the bolt line. I don't have a strong opinion of how to grade this (via the left escape or the harder straight on approach), so consensus grading can decide. Aug 17, 2020
