Tumbling Dice

5.10b, Trad, 75 ft (23 m),  Avg: 3 from 2 votes
FA: unknown
Colorado > Gunnison > Spring Creek > Tower of Babel

Description

Tumbling Dice was originally R-rated, but with modern gear and some know-how, this route isn't too bad. The gear is a little finicky down low, so be solid at the grade.

Climb a beautiful splitter that lends itself to good laybacking for 20' to a juggy horizontal. Get a solid piece in, then commit to some face move up and left towards a big, right-facing corner. Climb tight hands in the corner to a big stance, then make some delicate moves past big, questional flakes, trending right to a bolted anchor.

Location

It is on the upper tower, directly right of the sport route, High Roller, and left of a very obvious, big arete. The splitter at the start is easy to spot.

Protection

A standard rack and maybe doubles in tight finger sizes for the start.
