Description

Sit-start and immediately pull a large bulge with awesome, large holds. Cruise upwards on great jugs and don't forget to admire the view into the valley towards Old Tucson and Saguaro West when you reach the top. Don't kick any loose rocks down on your friends.

Location

Go over Gate's pass traveling west/southwest out of downtown Tucson. You'll drive by the main parking area for Gate's Pass proper and see a parking area farther down the road on the left. The boulder face is the most shaded looking boulder hallway down the slope towards the pass itself. You should pass through a few drainages (and a few cholla fields) before making your way to the sandy base of the boulder face. Go up the slope to the next semi-shaded face looking towards the north. Lots of loose rock and good holds hiding in the rough up there.

Protection

1-2 pads and a brush to clean up a little.
