Access Issue: Texas Climbers Coalition Property - Now Open
Details
TCC Notes - San Antonio we have good news! Medicine Wall is open for climbing. We’ve been wanting this just as bad as you and we are excited to bring outdoor climbing to the San Antonio climbers. Thanks to the Access Fund for all their hard work on this project. A couple of quick house keeping things:
✔️It is open for all to enjoy. No commercial use of the property yet.
✔️Please wear a mask if applicable and follow other CDC guidelines especially until all the routes are able to spread folks out.
✔️Trail access is at the 1604 and Shavano Creek parking lot. Eisenhower parking will be also used when it is open.
✔️Use common sense and care for the property.
✔️We will have volunteer opportunities. Keep an eye out for cleaning and trail projects in 2021!

Description
Start below a short, right facing corner with a shallow crack. Scramble up the low angle rock into the corner and use that and holds out left to pull onto the upper ledge (2 bolts). Move up and left over the perched block and climb the 2nd slab (1 bolt) to the base of the headwall at a large hole with vertical, featured rock (just right of the The Pacifist corner). Climb straight up past the hole onto the main shield of rock with a shallow, vertical tips flake. Continue up the flake until it runs out and then use pockets and other holds to reach the top.
