Description

Entry route to the southwest arete. In combination with the southwest arete (5.4) or the route "Sanduhrenparadies" (5.7) this leads to approximately 1700 ft of climbing. The route itself is not spectacular, due to its difficulty and length.

Location

Follow Naturfeundesteig past the first cable-protected section. When the terrain eases up take the first well walked treil to the left. Follow this trail across a short scree field. At the left side of the scree field continue straight up until you hit the wall. The start of the route is marked by "GM" in red paint (small and hard to see).

Protection

bolts, fixed slings, bolted belays and a tree belay
