Details
Golden Gate Canyon is a State Park and a $10 (2021) fee is required for entrance. Cash/Check only accepted; Self serve kiosks exist throughout the park. Annual passes can be purchased for $60.
Description
This fun “boulder problem” starts with Quarantine Machine but then traverses left (5.9) to a jug then reaches to a sloper, a monopocket, and a tiny ledge (5.11). Finally grab a fantastic rail on top (5.10), and top out (5.9). Using the boulder for stemming demotes this fantastic route to a boring 5.8.
Location
Find a notch between a massive boulder and the wall. Start at Quarantine Machine, then traverse left at an obvious crack.
Protection
A standard rack up to #3s with a few smaller cams and nuts will suffice for all routes on Quarantine Wall, the smaller subdivision of Dude’s Throne that contains Social Distancing and those to its right.
