This climb starts on some right-facing holds on the seemingly blank face in between Fakie and Powderbird and avoids the arete. Use some mantles/thumb presses and your choice of sloper-crimps to make the crux move to the sloper jug at the lip. Alternatively, once you hit a right hand tooth a couple feet from the top, you can traverse left and into the arete and top out on Fakie, although it is a bit easier and less heady. Not sure which was the original route
