There are many seasonal raptor closures with varying dates and specific boundaries. These generally effect The Monument, Kiss of the Lepers, Picnic Lunch Wall and/or Smith Rock group, and possibly elsewhere. These usually run from February to the beginning of August, but each closure is usually shorter than this, and is dependent on the birds' behavior. Description

Climb through the some of the most solid rock on the wall almost the entire way. Start off the ground on the crux of the route, then finesse your way into the cave on vertical crimps.

Location

Climbs into the left side of the cave half way thought the route. Find the start of those bolts

Protection

Fully bolted. Steel carabiners at the anchors

Climbing up to the roof was technical and fun, but the loose rock above ruins the route. Ripped a large chunk off just above the final bolt. If the chains were lower and you didn't have to deal with the kitty litter slab, this would be a worthwhile climb. Apr 12, 2021
