Access Issue: 2024 - road closure
Details
Mt. Blue Sky Rd. will be closed for the 2025 season. All crags will be accessible only via hiking. kdvr.com/news/local/mount-b….
Description
Pneumoxia Crack is short 'n' steep! It manages to pack quite a bit of quality into its few body lengths. The crack starts at fingers and goes up to big hands at the lip, and it is excellent. I'm not going to tell you to make the hike just for this route, but it would make a very nice addition to a day of bouldering down by the lake or cragging up at the slabs.
Location
Not at the Lincoln Lake Slabs, this is down in the main bouldering area at Lincoln Lake. If you're already climbing up at the slabs, this would be a bit of a walk down through the boulders. It is fine getting there, but it would definitely add some to the hike out (but who can't use a bit more alpine fitness?). If coming purely to climb the route, start by heading to the main bouldering area (Evil Backwards, Phobos, Red Herring), and then continue just a little further to the south, walking directly underneath Let the Right One In on your way. At this point, you're basically at Pneumoxia.
