Penny Pincher

V0, Boulder, 10 ft (3 m),  Avg: 1.5 from 13 votes
FA: Not sure
Rhode Island > Lincoln Woods > Summit / Pinnac… > Summit Boulders

Description

This enjoyable problem is on the right side of Buddha’s revenge (V6-). Stand start by matching both hands on the deep jug at about 6 ft. The jug is as good as it gets. Place both feet up. Climb big jugs directly above the starting jug to the top. In total about 3-4 moves. The top out is easy and secure. The obvious down climb is on the right side of this problem. The landing of the problem is flat ground so give it a try.

Protection

A pad is enough. A spotter in addition to the pad is even better.

[Hide Comment] It seems like this is more or less a stand start to Penny Ante? Nov 18, 2020

[Hide Comment] More like, Penny Ante is a sit start to Penny Pincher. Penny Pincher was a problem for a long, long time (probably from the 1970s). I added the sit start early 2000s... Nov 19, 2020

[Hide Comment] Makes sense! I wasn't sure off the description, so I just wanted to be sure I'd actually done the climb. Nov 20, 2020
