Description

Trucutrulove is one of the older routes on the wall, and originally went at 11d (it is still listed this way on the Rakkup guide to El Salto).  A large, loose block was removed from near the top of the route, and the result raised the grade to a stout 12a or 12a/b.  Afterwards, sub-anchors were added below the crux; the route to this point is consensus-graded 11b as of the time of this writing (the sub-anchor route has its own MP page adjacent to this one).

The full experience begins with some thin, insecure 5.11- climbing up a bulge before traversing right and then continuing up into some fun tufa action.  Climb through this section up to the obvious stalactite rest, clip the right chain draw on the sub-anchor, and then pull the cryptic boulder problem over the bulge.  You'll be rewarded with another couple of bolts worth of fun 5.10 climbing before the OG anchors.  Like its neighbors to the right, this route is long and a bit meandering, lending it a bit of an adventurous flavor (for a well-bolted sport climb).

Location

This route is a few steps to the left of the large, detached Tecolotito boulder in the middle of the crag.

Protection

Bolts; full anchors.
